Hey Southgate! Before we all meet, I wanted to share a little about myself and my heart for music ministry.

I am from Springfield, and the oldest of six. My wife, Katelyn, is from St. Louis, and has been here since she started college. We got married in June 2025!

I have been involved in music ministry since high school, when I helped create our youth worship team, and served as a drummer on Sundays. For the past year I had the privilege of serving as the Worship & Media Resident at Second Baptist Church. During that time, the Lord used the Residency, Katelyn, and several pastors in my life to confirm His call for me to serve the local church through music and worship.

Music ministry has played a huge role in my own walk with Christ, and some of the moments when I am most in awe of God are when I am responding to Him in worship through song and prayer.

My desire is to help others do the same through songs that are rooted in Scripture, rich in truth, and theologically sound.

My goal in music ministry is simple, to lead our church well in worship, and to invest in people. My belief is that music should support the preaching of God’s Word, point people toward Christ, and glorify God. I want to help our worship team grow in their gifts and use them to serve the Lord. Katelyn and I are so excited for the opportunity to be part of the Southgate family and to get to know you all!
